did anyone come up with a solution or prove this is not a problem?

Haven't noticed any problems (stray signals, etc) with mine. I have an escort 9500 and it works perfect.

How have you installed it?

The radar detector is on my windshield, right under my rearview mirror. I haven't heard anyone having problems with them.

Sorry the 9500, did you hard wire it?

Will be when I get around to it. have the stuff, just haven't had the time.
