Just saw an article where a guy just ordered an A5 Sline in matte black, or in Audi terminology, the color is called "Frosted Lake". From what the article says, it can be ordered through the Audi Exclusive program for 3990 euro's and is available in the States too. Has anybody heard of this or ordered a car with the matte black paint? Here is a picture. And I dont have any idea why the guy seems to be taking a leak into his gas tank in the pic.

Hmm, never heard of that. Looks interesting though. I'd like to see it in person.

Would you mind telling us what article this is from?! I love the color....looks like a dark grey...which is exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks.

They said the matte finishes aren't available at all as Audi for some reason can't or won't warranty them. They've done some show cars in matte finishes, but nothing for retail sale... not through Audi Exclusive, no matter how much you pay.

... and for 3990 Euros (almost $6,000 USD)... you could get your car repainted by the absolutely best shop and eventhough Audi's paint typically looks really good... $6k will buy you a lot better and no one would ever know it was redone.

It's exclusive only to lambo and no other VAG cars.

all matte finish Audi's anyone sees out there are aftermarket jobs unless it was specifically for an internal project like a show car or a prototype/test mule

... and for 15k for a paint job... considering you can't wax or buff it... the least that paint job could do is repel dirt and dust.. I'd almost pay 15k for a car I never had to polish or WASH haha
