did you get any kind of "deal" - discount from MSRP, straight MSRP, or have to pay a premium? If a discount, what is reasonable at this time?

I am being quoted MSRP on an S5 with TIP, fully loaded. Salesman says no premium because I am current Audi owner.

Should I push for a discount or be happy with MSRP?

I was at TWO dealers yesterday and they both said they have no idea when their next S5 is showing up. BOTH just sold their meteor gray demos with 2000 miles for MSRP.

At this point you should be happy you are getting it for MSRP....

One thing I got was free Audi Care... I'd ask for it, tell them you are used to having it on your old Audis... Theyll probably hook it up. You can always ask for little things like a cargo net, all weather mats... It sweetens the deal

I worked with four different dealers and I was able to get my S5 (auto, phantom black, magma, NAC, tech, B&O) for 56.9k. So that is somewhere around 2.7k off MSRP. Don't believe the dealers BS on the demand. With the current wait times there is a lot of room to negotiate prices. But if the car is on the lot, that's a different story, you're going to pay for the non wait.

I'm kind of pissed I didn't get a hat, maybe next time.
