I would be interested to find out if anyone has done this. Or if there's a way to allow the LEDs to remain bright when the parking lights are on, and when the headlights are on.

Early european models stayed on. Later ones in the year (about Sept onwards) dimmed on the side being indicated. US ones go out altogether on the side being indicated.

So, that does suggest perhaps something in the software alters the settings. Whether we can get to it via VAG COM is not yet known.
