Hey everyone. Just wanted to post some pictures that were requested of the Stainless Steel trim with the piano black around the center console. Included some extras as well
Did everyone out there know that along with the rear back-up camera, if you hit the MODE button in the top right hand part of the screen while the camera is on it changes from a rear-back-up camera to a parallel-parking-camera? I was just backing up this morning and pressed the button by accident and was pleasantly surprised. Haven't tried it yet to see how well it works by i'd imagine it's pretty good? Anyone out there have any experience with it so far?
If you use your imagination a little you can see a little "piano" color reference through out the cabin!
Real nice!! But how do you keep the white seats clean? Is it a pain?

I heard its a pain to clean. I already kinda see it. After four days I already gave it a little clean down. The dealership I went to had a few salesman that had the same interior and they all said to clean it briefly once every 1-2 weeks. Takes about 15 min to do. Definitely a pain to worry about because I heard so many things people wear (and of course eat) can rub off on it. But as you said before, its classy and WELL worth the hassle. I absolutely love the interior though. Looks amazing in person but we'll see in the years to come if the color lasts. Figured I'd take the chance.

Well in the regular mode for the camera, the camera senses things directly behind the vehicle. But if you've ever parallel parked a car, you know that what's to the left or right is important as well so now the car senses the sides of the car as well as the back of the car. i can take pictures if you'd like. it's pretty simple actually. instead of a back-up camera sesnsing what's in BACK...it's a parallel parking camera sensing what's PARALLEL to the car. haha.

First off I don't think people should be eating meals inside a car like the S5. Second of all if you do laundry at a reasonable pace your clothes shouldn't be transferring dirt. However, yes sometimes dye from jeans can transfer but as easily as it transfers it easily comes off with the disposable leather wipes. Just wipe the driver's seat (at least) every time you wash the car.
It's not like nobody in the world buys cream, beige or white leather couches for their homes.
I currently have the silver alcantara suede inserts in my S4 and after 3.5 years the suede portion still looks perfect. And that is with very minimal cleaning. Most of the false facts/opinions are spread by salespeople who aren't being honest.

WALMART! haha. They've got some pretty goot mats there. Use them in all our cars. Had a little bit of a tough time finding them in black but they come in black, gray, tan, and clear. Only cost 7 bucks each so not a bad deal (might have been on sale). I really got them to hold me over till the S5 all weather mats come in but who knows...I might just keep them!

Nice. I was told nobody else in PA has/ordered it yet so should be a rare combo which is nice. It's definitely unique. Saw an S8 on the road the other day wth a very similar (possibly the same) color combo in his car and we both had huge smiles on our faces. If you want to see any more pictures of anything in particular let me know. Just washed the car so it's as clean as it'll be until i drive it on the salt/snow covered roads where i'm at. When is yours coming in?

... changes from showing a parking box to showing two arcs that represent the path of the vehicle going backward at full lock. So, to parallel park, with the wheel fully cranked, you pull toward the curb until one of the on-screen arcs matches the line of the curb. You then crank the wheel at full lock in the other direction and pull into the spot. The path of the vehicle matches the arc perfectly, preventing curbage. I gotta say, it's pretty damned slick, though it's difficult to trust it when you are used to using mirrors and a fully-cranked head.
