View Full Version : Winter tires...who's running them on which wheels and what size & type are the tires? laseredpete 12-22-2007, 07:49 AM RobHS5 12-22-2007, 06:26 PM I put Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's on the original wheels. Haven't really used them in the any snow yet, but I was able to get out of my snow/ice covered driveway, up hill, which I could never have done with the OEM tires. Got them through Tire Rack. They only had 2 tires that were the OEM size 255/35/19. RoswellS5 got them also and said he liked them. Roswell 12-23-2007, 10:58 AM they seem to perform well in all conditions and even as wide as they are, they really rip through the snow, I feel very secure and confident on them. This car is pretty low, I hear lots of scraping under the car and ive had powder fly up over my hood when I go through 5+ inches. Ive seen pictures of this car with winter setups in 18 inch sizes and it doesn't look nearly as good. It may perform better but for the amount of time I actually encounter snow these dunlops are excellent. they are smooth on the highway even at high speeds. RobHS5 12-23-2007, 02:59 PM snow I will likely drive in, it made more sense to stay with the original OEM wheels. John Stedman 12-24-2007, 08:03 AM |
