I have had my car all of a day now, and am looking to add window tints. But as the title says, I not sure if this will affect the automatic dimming side and rearview mirrors. Anyone have any experence with this? Thanks.

...but I only have 50% film. The autodimming mirrors still function properly. There have been some mention of dark tint (like 20% film) that might impact the autodim, as the rear window is so dark the lights from the rear do not trigger the sensor to dim the mirrors.

Roswell'S5 might be able to share his experience, since he put some DARK tint on his black S5

Obviously, the combination of tint and lower reflectivity of automatic mirrors means that it's harder to see. Took me some getting used to, since I was coming from a TT without automatic mirrors (roadster, too - lots of light!). But I've adjusted in the S5, and it's fine.
