I looked really hard and what do you know... some orange peels on my paint. It may have been clementine peels, but I could see it easily. Audi surely needs to improve their car painting techniques. As seen in the first picture. The tint was supposed to be 40% but reads at 32%.
The pictures aren't very good quality, i took them from my phone, and then posted them to the picture poster which made them smaller.

if I will tint the windows yet because I'd like to be able to see the interior from outside. I might try to hold off as long as possible or at least until the hot temperatures return.

i had someone install it for me.. i don't trust myself with german car wiring systems. as easy as it may be, i didn't want to go near the airbags... little plastic snaps i might break, or optic wires.
It went terribly though - the guy cut his hand and put a nick in my gauge surround - they're supposed to replace it for me when/if the part comes in. i haven't paid them, but they didn't want me to until it was settled. It took less than an hour so i'm wondering if the dash will cost more than the work.. probably about 50 bucks.

I bet it went terribly, and that sucks that they have to do it again because of the nick.
im using the iPhone and it seems to do everything the the phone function does except my favorite list of contacts. Also, i can use the phone to find a contact and call and it switches to the car... Or back to the phone if i shut the car off without disconnecting. It really is very useful, its much safer than using a phone regularly or even with headset. I walk up to and get in the car and my keys and phone stay in the pocket no matter what... I can't think of a lazier method of living. This car begs to be driven, letting you concentrate on only that activity. It takes care of the rest. Digital cruise control is pretty sweet too.
Soon enough it will pick up a wife for me.... I swear

...too bad the installer did tno find a way to hide the wires and mount that remote display a bit more level, but nice that it got done!

Tried several different Nokia phones. I have a legacy AT&T (Cingular) SIM. Hmm...

Finally S5 had his iphone as ami player but said when a call came in it disrupted the music playing when the call ended. Plugging the phone in everytime seemed annoying. Nano works well and it even displays 'audi' with four rings when plugged in... Pretty neat. Today I was charging my iPhone on ami while driving and when calls came in it acted funny... And I wasn't playing music from it. I answered then the call wouldn't connect and then about 15 seconds later the conversation began.... Didn't happen again tho, perhaps just a loose connection?

Good to know; if I get the iPhone, I'll just stick with one of my (rapidly accumulating) iPods for the car.

everytime i press that button it shifts around.. its slightly large for that flat spot.. because the wire sticks out.
There aren't very many spots where i can install it in a place thats easily seen and accessible to touch for cancelling the alarm.
i hate the way it looks but i really need that thing for highway driving in this car, i don't try to drive fast by any means, its just quicker than it feels.
German cars should have higher speed limits.. I bet any of our cars are safer at 90 than any truck/van at 70.
