Does anyone know if it's going to be utilized on the A5 for NA?

Why would VW build the 3.6 for NA, specifically the Passat initially, then the Q7, Toureg, and Cayenne and not the TT, Golf, Jetta, Beetle, or A5 since it's on a new platform?

Does anyone have the scoop?

not really a super smooth engine like the V6 from the A6/A4.

Besides the SUV's it hasnt been used in a longitudinal layout in a 'car' yet.

Yes, the Q7 does have it as North/South but that is the only one. But other than that it would make sense to use it. But it doesn't look technically possible.

I have heard reports from reliable sources that the 3.6L V6 will be used in the TT as the new flagship model, until the TTRS comes out. If this engine can be used in the TT then why not the A5. It would make sense for Audi to use it in the A5, however the 3.2L V6 is still quite potent for now.

the TT is transverse.
