Hi guys,
According to AutoWeek magazine, the A5/S5 competes against the BMW 6-series coupe. All other sources say the 3-series... Looking at specs, seems like 3-series is the true competitor... But then how about the A4 coupe?? Are they phasing that out?

Comments?

it's a bit larger and far more luxurious than the 3 series. It's not quite as big as the 6, but i don't see how a larger coupe would give you much more utility. it's most direct competitor is the CLK.

Not to mention that from what I heard A5 is the reincarnated coupe model offered by Audi in late 70s/80s designed with young people in mind.

I don't know many young people ready to spend $60K+ for coupe. Also if A5 woud even start in BMW 6 range (which we already know is not true)then S5 need to be priced in $70K+ range ....and I am even scared to think about RS5 price.

I think those guys from Autoweek don't have a clue what are they talking about.
After all it is Audi not a Bentley GT.

This is by the way 4th or 5th post about the same stupid article from Autoweek.

You are right. I didn't think about this. I agree that it's the 3-series.
