Only thing that Audi has mentioned so far is the use of LEDs in the front.

like it might have a lot of light sources i.e. LED. *shrug* Probably just wishful thinking there.

Case in point: The door lock switch. Everyone knows that UP is unlock, DOWN is lock, and yet Audi felt necessary to flip that over for this new car?!?

Just wishful thinking on my part I suppose.

Also, since LED is the "in" thing, they would definitely have mentioned it.

You can tell the brake lights were never shown in the video because the center-high mounted brake light never comes on. The video just shows the rear driving lights and turn signals.

having the unlock button positioned the way it is, flowing right with the door handle, is actually well placed. Think of the way you grip a doorhandle, and where your thumb ends up.

Wonder when taken, is that TIP auto in the a5?

Not sure what that means exactly...

either way, if you choose to unlock the doors with the button first, then open the door or vice/versa it's anatomically well placed. If you were flicking a switch up and down, i'd agree.

but most think that the delayed intro of an auto points to dsg

one-touch unlock, when I've forgotten and not unlocked the door or trunk or rear hatch. This is common on the cars I detail, because I've recoded both my Audis and am not used to having to do the double-tap unlock thing. So, I find myself wanting to open a door and it's locked, so I walk around, open the driver's door, reach in and stab the button.

That's the only time I ever use those interior switches.
