Both the CD changer & the SD slot can read both formats. But the SD slot is only on the Concert & Symphony units.

So much for our hidden SD slot speculations.

If the system could read DVD's you could get 4.5 Gigs worth of MP3s on it, vs. 700Megabytes for regular Data CDs

As for MP3 DVD, I doubt it would work because it's a CD changer, not DVD changer.

With a 4 gig SD slot I could have pretty much all my songs, in one spot, ready to be played in the car. Not so with a CD. I think this is a step backwards IMO.

Keep up with multiple SD cards vs multiple CDs if I exceed ~4.5gb of music, have instant access vs CD change time etc.

Adding MP3/WMA capabilities to the cd player is a nice addition, but it would be nice if they had left the SD card slots on the Nav system.

There's really no benefit at all to CD compared to SD card.

I *really* can't stand CD change times in the changer mechanism.

But hey, I'll take it!
