Known dimensions of the TT and R8 are 164.5"L x 53.2"H, 97.2"WB, 174.4"L x 49.3"H, 104.3"WB respectively. Bearing in mind camera distortion and the difficulty of determining accurate reference points from raster images, it would appear the dimensions of the A5 are consistent with my earlier findings. Proportions play a major role in how we perceive size. The Chevy Corvette and the Audi R8 share nearly the same dimensions, yet the Corvette registers as a larger car largely due the drastically different proportions.

And the A5 almost looks like a camaro concept in that pic. I'll be honest, all of the profiles aren't anything to write home about.

It's breathtaking. Arguably one of the best designs to come out in a long long time. Very exotic, unlike current mainstream designs from BMW/Mercedes...

I'm hoping the A5 looks better in person also.

Oh, you're a Beemer dude - makes sense now

When the current A8 came out, I could't help but to see remarkable similarities to the then-current (last gen) Civic sedan. I love the A8, and the rear grew on me, but I really felt like either the A8 designers didn't care about the resemblence, or maybe they never bothered to look at a Civic sedan???

Nice since the company went from '91 to '00 with out a real coupe.

As in the pattern of the drilled holes are reversed. Just seems a bit weird.

all of the sourced images for the chops originally faced right - I flipped them and removed the gas caps, just didn't bother with details such as the drill patterns, etc. BTW, the rotors of the R8 aren't unidirectional, the pin wheel patterns rotate in opposite directions on the other side of the car.
