i grilled him for info obviously, and this is what he said...

they had a press conference where US Audi execs were shown the A4, A5, and Q5...the A5 on hand had a 330hp v8...he said the a5 and s5 will be be shown at geneva but they havnt been given any information or even seen the s5 yet. he found that strange because the s5 will also be released here (in the USA) first...before the end of the year, preceding shippments of the regular a5. he said the a5 has LED's sort of like the R8 and rounder headlamps. He also said somthing about aggressive gearing for the a5/s5...but i wasnt sure what he was getting at exactly. he speculates s5 power to be between 350-450hp.

I bet the S5 will have anywhere from 1-1000 HP.

Did he say anything about the Q5? I'm first inline at my dealer. Hopefully, they'll have TDI's from the start.

330 hp out of a V8 is B*ll.
The 4.2 FSI V8 used in the A5 will have 350 hp at leasted.
Other possibility is that Audi maybe can show a new 3.7 litre V8 FSI engine with Valve-lift and 330 hp.
In that case the S5 can have a 4.2 litre FSI V8 with 420-450 hp.
The 2009 RS5 will have in that case a 5.2 litre V10 FSI with 480 hp.
