I'm new to Audi but very familiar with European Delivery from Volvo and BMW. I want to purchase an Audi next and looking for some European Delivery information. The Audi website is lite on the subject

Does anyone now

* Is the discount 5% off the base msrp only or 5% off options too?
*Any special options offered through European Delivery you typically can't get?
* Does Audi offer any travel discounts? Volvo provides two free tickets on SAS and BMW has 2 for 1 on Lufthansa.
* Is European travel insurance included? Like 10 - 14 days driving in Western Europe?
* What are the drop off costs for shipping? Typically there's an additional shipping cost if you don't return the car to factory or if you don't drop it off in Antwerp or Bremerhaven
* Also, are there any dealers in the US who really specialize in this? There's one or two BMW and Volvo dealers who are really the pros for their respective brands. Has one dealer risen above the rest? I don't car what state I by the car in. They can ship it to my house.

Thanks

1. The discount wording isn't really clear, but in practice people are getting 5% off total MSRP.

2. No, ED cars are 100% US spec.

3. No, but you do get a one night hotel stay once you arrive.

4. Yes, temporary tags and insurance for 15 days are included. Anything beyond that would be up to you cover the cost.

5. There are no additional costs for using the 20 or so drop-off locations provided throughout Europe (although you do still have to pay the destination charges).

6. Seems to be hit or miss with dealers, but aside from the initial order, most of the actual process is handled by Audi corporate.

Audi European delivery

Agree with ebusch's answers.

I got 5% off MSRP (car + options).

Audi pays for 1 night in a nice hotel and arranges transport to the factory.

Audi covers license and insurance for 15 days. They will also arrange it for longer with an extra charge. 90 days is the limit though...EU regs.

All 20 dropoffs are eligible at no extra charge.

accessories specific to Europe that can be quite hard to order here in the states. As long as you can bring them home in your baggage, ship them, or maybe even add them on the vehicle before shipping. As long as the item you add on the car does not throw a "flag" up you should be o.k. (like special wheels and so on)

Can you be more specific as to what may be available in Europe, but not so easy to get in US?

Also, know if you can get the clear reflector Euro headlights cheaper over there?
