Has anyone dropped off their car in Hamburg? It seems like a nice road trip from Ingolstadt to Hamburg and it is relatively close to the shipping port. I haven't decided if I will drop off the car in Munich after using it for relatively local travel or risk the road trip. Does anyone have any experiences with driving North to the Hamburg area?

I'm thinking that the delay to ship via truck might add a couple of days for processing, etc. to the shipping process. Munich being the furthest German drop-off point is about 7hrs from Emden, while Bremerhaven is less than 2hrs. Problem is, I'm not sure that Bremerhaven is a good tourist destination.
