My R8 is going to be built on week 41. Audi is offering Euro delivery on the R8 beginning October 1 (confirmed this with the special R8 hotline last week). Does anybody know what the timing of all this means for me? I assume my car will be built Oct. 12-18 (week 41) and I can pick it up maybe Oct. 20-25? Then, when I return it to Munich in a few days to ship it to the USA, it will then arrive in 30-40 days. Am I correct? or am I missing something?

an extra week or so before your R8 makes it home. This is just based on my euro delivery with our Q7, but you may have to factor in a little extra time for your R8 to be shipped to Ingolstadt from Neckersulm for your euro delivery. I know we had the same issue since the Q7 is produced in Bratislava, Slovakia and we had to make sure the vehicle arrived and was prepped for delivery in Ingolstadt. As for the timeline home it will depend on your final destination. West coast is a week or so longer than the East coast and I would imagine somewhere close to that would middle America. I say give it a little longer so you will be pleasantly surprised if your R8 arrives sooner.

I am making these assumptions based only on our experience and I hope it helps out with your decision making for planning of your delivery. Let us know what you find out, I'm sure there will be others down the road who will have the same questions.

My RS4 will be produced the week of 9/24 (week 39) at the Neckalsulm Plant. They said 2 weeks to check it out and have it ready in Ingolstadt, so maybe week of 10/15.
