Just got a call from ED program today. My white MkII is build and waiting for me in Ingolstadt, now the 20th couldn't come fast enough. Now to the planning part, would any of you who have been to Germany suggest place I should visit. I am planning on spend couple of day in Munich and track over to Black Forest and then cut up to NumburgRing and continue my way to drop off the car in Amsterdam. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I will take from pick from Audi forum and post it here.
Thank you in advance

It seems like all is coming together nicely for you.
If you read one of my earlier posts about our trip, it may give you some ideas of things to do locally around Munich. We were there to late in the season but one thing I wanted to see was Berchtesgaden (Hitlers Nest.......I am kind of a History nut) It is about 120 miles from Munich, southeast I believe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berchtesgaden
Also, you may want to check out Neuschwanstein. http://www.neuschwanstein.de/english/index.htm
It's a few hours south Munich as well. This is the Castle Disneyworld modeled themselves after.
I too wanted to get tho the "Ring" but it was not meant to be, but probably would not have been much fun going around it in a Q7, no matter how sporty of an SUV it is.......Maybe next time.
We picked up a few books on Germany and of the other countries we wanted to visit to get ideas as well, I highly suggest this too.
One last thing, if you have a chance to do Audi Drivers day.......do it! We had an S8 for better part of a whole day and it was an absolute blast driving through the German countyside site-seeing and blasting down the A-bahn.
I hope this helps some ;-)

Thank, definitely will go to Neuschwanstein. I was looking at the audi driver day earlier and would love to do it (RS4) but I will already be hard press to try to break in TT before I get to the ring so I probably will skip it this time. I am appearently the first customer to do this ED at my dealer ship so they kinda have no clue of what to do either. I have to call Kathy at AoA. She was very helpful and helping me comfirm everything right now, hopefully it will get all settle by the end of the week.

We also visited Dachau (Concentration Camp outside of Munich) the day before we took delivery of our car and you may want to look at that. There is also a lot to do in Munich itself. Museums, Theater, Shopping (my wife loved this part a lot), and tours.
I too would like to take an RS4 out on the A-bahn, an Avant would be even better, but maybe the new RS6 Avant will be available next time we do ED.
We also dealt with Kathy throughout our whole experience and she was a pleasure to deal with.

a few others about an hour south, which are right on the Austrian border. You start to hit the Alps, and the scenery is amazing.
Only about 45 minutes south of Munich is Benediktbueren where there's an old monastery in a little village. Tons of "country" roads that are FUN to drive on as well as offer amazing photo opps for your car. I just did ED with a buddy last week (BMW), and we have photos that BMW should use in their brochure.
I'd then drive to Mittenwald from Benediktbueren to grab a beer with the locals at one of the many outdoor cafes - the road has tons of twisties along a little lake surrounded by mountains. From Mittenwald you can then head north. (These little towns are seriously like 20 mins apart; everything is much closer together in Europe than the U.S.)
Just north of Frankfurt is a town called Bad Homburg -- it's an old "spa" town. Really quaint, with a ton of good restaurants. And get a massage while you're at it. (There's a little hole-in-the-wall potato place that serves au gratin potatoes of all different kinds (beef, chicken, shrimp), they're loaded with butter and will probably contribute to shortening your life span, but it's worth it.
The castle & Dachau are both worth a visit as previously suggested.

Neuschwanstein is worth a visit, but it is tourist hell. We made the mistake of booking two nights in the Hotel Mueller in Hoenschwangau right on the main drag through town; our 0800 wake up call was hordes of tourists lined up outside our balcony waiting for a horse cart ride to the castle.
Rothenburg was way, way cool, though. Still kind of touristy, but there's enough things to see & do that it makes it tolerable. We stayed in the Hotel Klosterstuble and thouroughly enjoyed it.
