Anybody knows how to retrofit a bluetooth module into an R8 that didn't come with one?
Specific parts? VAGCOM usage?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

View Full Version : Retro-fitting a bluetooth module in a R8. Heyrenzo 08-25-2008, 02:22 PM Anybody knows how to retrofit a bluetooth module into an R8 that didn't come with one? Specific parts? VAGCOM usage? Any help is appreciated, thanks! DukeLeto 08-25-2008, 03:34 PM I did that for the A4. It should be the same since it is the same RNS-E navi. Check the navplus.us forum. The links I have no longer work, the threads might have been moved, but the RNS-E direct link is http://www.navplus.us/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10 Best of luck! T. Heyrenzo 08-25-2008, 06:54 PM I'll definitely check out your site. Zeptepi 08-25-2008, 07:25 PM MARKNMTT 08-25-2008, 08:24 PM did in the first place. DukeLeto 08-26-2008, 12:47 AM Without bluetooth is fine, without navi is what puzzles me... T. DukeLeto 08-26-2008, 12:51 AM Heyrenzo 08-26-2008, 06:22 AM Hence I suppose it can be done. I'll have to see with the parts guy at Audi. KfabR8 08-26-2008, 06:30 AM http://www.vagnavs.com/ Contact Brian Kohler off this site. kthacher 08-26-2008, 09:54 AM I ordered mine without navigation. I expect that in a year or two that the navigation system on this or any other car will be seen as a quaint useless relic compared to what you can get in external devices, costing 1/5 or 1/10 the price. Anyway, I suspect that if you do a search on navplus.us or directly in a search engine, using "retrofitting+bluetooth+Audi R8" as the key terms you will definitely come across something useful. T. kthacher 08-26-2008, 06:43 PM The extra thousand ($1800 in Canada) was not the point. The point is that I want the best nav system I can get, and I don't think the embedded systems will keep pace with what I can get in standalone systems. I don't want an obsolete piece of electronics in my car a couple of years from now. Heyrenzo 08-27-2008, 10:12 AM DukeLeto 08-27-2008, 05:11 PM |
