the price of the r8 is worth it? It is no doubt a great looking car. But for the price why not just get a 997 O_o Thoughts oppinions ?

I think the R8 is well above the C2S, but not quite the 997TT.

Hence the price point also. I think it fits nicely. I would rather have the R8 then C4S (which is the most logical choice)

YES! I paid over sticker and it's worth every freaking penny. Never had such a fun car or a car that I've liked so much.

i have a c4s :p but when i got mine there was no r8 or 997TT around. i had come out of a b6s4 and c55 lemons :k im still really happy with my purchase. now to get the TT or new lambo XD. just hard to give up a problem free car for me. with my bad exp in the past.

The R8 and C4s although close in some areas are very different cars. The P car feels lighter and tighter. The R8 will out accelerate the C4s but not the 997TT. I have driven the R8 on the track just once and had the opportunity to go for a ride in my instructors 997TT. He absolutly blew me away with how much more accelearation and latteral cornnering force he could generate compared to the R8. Although a lot of the difference is most likey his skill and my lack thereof.
With that said: last weekend some frinds and I drove some really amazing twisty backroads in Northern Kentucky and the R8 was so predictable and geared exactly right you may have to surgically remove the grin from my face. So if $ are not the deciding factor drive the one that suits your personality.

Many cars outperform it, but none look like an R8. When you get into this price range, price really isn't an issue.

But even at MSRP, it would be a tough choice between 997TT and R8. Of course a few more horses on the R8, and there would be no question!

I sold both my GT3 and 997S Cab after getting mine. Worth every penny. Exotic looks and feel for cheap money. I'd take it over a 997TT anyday.
