I think the 4.2 FSI will respond wonderfully to a little forced induction. 10psi across the rpm band. From what I have been able to gather from the cars Ive seen / inspected, and images in various states of dis-assembly, a pair of turbochargers will not be difficult to integrate. ( relative term ). the manifold is from a different application, i worked on.

It was lots of fun with the S4. 24 Psi and 507 wheel hp. Soon to be 28 psi.

It's 12.5:1 as it stands. Where to fit radiators and intercoolers? One of the major issues with the previous RS6 (turbo V8) was finding ways to get adequate cooling.

Look to Heffner's (not that Heffner) turbo'd Gallardos to see the issues they have had thus far. Sign on to Lambopower for more.

Just pointing out that it's going to be much more challenge than doing the same to an old S4.

I have been following the gallardo forced induction for a bit.

I do not believe anything will be to the same challenge as the development process on the 2.7T S4. IC and lines, plumbing and thermal management i believe i can solve, or work with people smart enough to solve the issues in a team effort.

regardless, whats the point in talking about the difficulties with out trying. It would be validated in calculation, and in CAD before welding or casting anything.

Early prototypes for the 2.7T

the physical part of the build is never the main issue... as tuning should be the determining factor in taking on a task like this.
