Hi to the R8 forum as this is my first ever post......
In the 2008 R8 if you have the Alcantera seat inserts is
it still possible to have the Enhanced Leather Package also?
Or once the car has the Alcantera seat inserts you cannot spec the Enhanced Leather Package?

What's the difference?

I think you are asking the difference between leather and alcantara? Well, I am sure you know what leather is (usually cow hide), but Alcantara is actually a microfiber type cloth that mimics the feel of suade leather. I does such a good job at mimicking suade, that you would be hard pressed to differentiate real suade hide from alcantara. The benefits of alcantara is that it, for some people, feels a lot more comfortable and much cooler than compared to standard leather. It is also, I believe, cheaper to produce than leather, and, as it is fabric based, it doesn't involve the killing of an animal, which I guess most luxury car buyers don't really worry about.
