When my 2009 order officially went in Audi hadn't specified CF was available -- when they did, mine was already in production. Net-net, no CF from the factory for me. Now that CF is officially an option on the 2009s, should I go through oempl.us or would it be more cost effective to have my dealer order the parts?

I think it depends who is going to install. My dealer would only install cf I bought from them.

Go down and read my write up of installing the CF parts in your ride. (or follow the link below)
I did the engine bay in about an hour.
The doors take about 30 minutes, total (passenger door takes less than 10)
OEMpl.us and I are still waiting on some of the trim pieces that PPI makes. Rich at OEM said that it may be a bit of a wait. Well worth it.
Once I get all the parts in hand, I'll tear into the interior and install all the new carbon stuff. When I do, I'll finish up the article and cover all the steps required to do the job.

Installing Carbon Fiber in your R8

I found the pricing very similiar between the two. Buying from dealer may save a little on installation costs depending on your relationship with that dealer.

See my above post. One just hit the factory the other is still changeable. Also feel free to ask about the goodies in the Audi Exclusive Order Guide I got this morning. Titanium finish wheels anyone?
