The Audi R8 is my dream car, but it is waaaaaay out of my price rage. So I was just wondering what do you R8 owners do for a living? What does it take to own an R8?

View Full Version : What do you guys on here do for a living??? PaliPIMPn 07-13-2008, 12:45 AM The Audi R8 is my dream car, but it is waaaaaay out of my price rage. So I was just wondering what do you R8 owners do for a living? What does it take to own an R8? kthacher 07-13-2008, 07:06 AM CEO of a venture capital backed tech company. Purchase is being funded from previous tech startup that was sold. KfabR8 07-13-2008, 08:26 AM I own machine shop that specializes in the build/design/repair off road race vehicles. - but that's not what pays the bills.. Damn. I got lucky in the 80's in the stock market and life's been good ever since. Bluehinder 07-13-2008, 09:28 AM Autopsies wedouglas 07-13-2008, 10:22 AM dotcom. RXBG 07-14-2008, 06:35 AM the only thing it takes to own an R8 is money. there a million ways to make money. since i know you are basically curious. i am in the business of healing people when they are ill. what do you do for a living? zqk 07-14-2008, 11:51 AM HonktheHonkie 07-14-2008, 03:38 PM RXBG 07-14-2008, 04:02 PM Zeptepi 07-14-2008, 05:30 PM think that we are freaks because I refinish deck furniture whilst we have an R8 and an M Coupe in the garage. (love the fact that they think the M Coupe is the 1 series and brand new - idiots!) Somehow they think we should be spending gads of money on new stuff when the old works just fine. Don't try and keep up with the Joneses, it's nothing more than a pissing contest neither will win. Do what makes you happy and everyone else be damned. Oh and FYI, I do wine. I love getting paid to drink! Fxhomie 07-15-2008, 08:57 AM you see these same type questions on the Rennlist Porsche forum. Is rather silly, but the question is usually posed by those who aspire to the vehicle. MARKNMTT 07-15-2008, 11:26 AM and no kids yet. Technically no R8 for me though till late 09. but yes the kid needs to do something that makes $$ so no liberal arts degrees. kthacher 07-15-2008, 11:31 AM I have no problem at all with the original question. When I was student age, I would have very much appreciated the chance to dialog with people with similar interests who were perhaps a little further along than I was at the time. But alas, there was no Internet back then. Phantom RS 07-15-2008, 12:55 PM 06A8 07-15-2008, 07:26 PM its something medical related either...but still ...liberal arts degree...thats an insult ill be adding haha! HonktheHonkie 07-15-2008, 10:53 PM NO WAI?! never heard of that! Kelsy19 07-16-2008, 06:08 PM A college student may dream of getting an R8, but it's only a dream (unless mommy and daddy have money). Take me for instance. I'm entering my sophomore year, it will be another three years for a bachelors, and another seven before becoming an attending. Assuming my debt magically disappears, it will be ten years before I'll be making enough to buy an R8. Think back ten years (more than half my life) there wasn't even a TT on the road. What will Audi have in another ten? So the thought of driving a beautiful new R8 to school is merely a dream. But you are very correct with your comment on what will Audi have 10 years from now. MARKNMTT 07-19-2008, 11:29 AM Zeptepi 07-20-2008, 03:08 AM |
