Thankfully have clearbra on, but several areas in the first 1Kmiles of some serious rock impact on front of hood. Naturally too 2 chips just beyond where the clearbra ended. Dang!

I've been adding a layer of carnauba wax to the hood and doors each time I wash to build up some extra protection beyond the film.

The sills and back bumper of the RS4 are done as well, and the rear fender cutaway on Ferrari has a slice. Yeah it costs, but you don't need to worry too much about debris. Of course the Ferrari collected a small chip on the roof! And the RS4 got a small chip in the glass.

*sigh*

fine scratches much more than the paint finish. Not sure which is worse, rock chips on a highly polished car or no rock chips over lots of fine scratches that dont come out. hmmmm....

Yes, happened to me too - two chips way back on the hood and well beyond what a standard clear bra would cover.

because it's Barchetta red (deep licorice red). I grit my teeth and bear it, because it beats sitting around Langka-ing the front - especially after the track.

The car went from the dealer in Texas to NorCal. It's time at the dealer was extremely limited. There are indent seams in the hood of the car, and with the change in temps and nobody to correct the natural tendency of the clear bra to lift during the time it was shipped, it has some raised bubbles in those seams. The rest of the job is simply impeccable and I can imagine the hood would have been done perfectly if I had been local.

...but he does all his cars that way. It looks a little odd a first, but you ignore it after a while.

I've seen the product advertised, but was hesitant to try it. My R8 is phantom black and it now has two small paint chips on the hood.
