SMA8L 03-07-2008, 09:52 PM Seems that there are a lot of opinions regarding side blade colors after my post. I think it is responsible to comment and define: 1. The posted images can never do the actual product justice. The audiworld.com image maker down-res system eliminates a ton of detail. 2. The interesting effect of the carbon blade is that has a very dynamic color quality. As you move around the car the blade offers either excellent contrast to body color or simply blends in. It is not static like Oxygen Silver. 3. Oxygen Silver on Phantom Black makes the car appear very tall and short. 4. Carbon on Phantom Black makes the car look very low and long. Totally different than above. I'll keep posting images as we're only a day into a 7-9 day process of transforming this car. SMA8L PDXA4 03-07-2008, 09:56 PM JeffAhn 03-07-2008, 10:54 PM gezuvor 03-08-2008, 07:03 AM PeterH 03-08-2008, 07:51 AM

As mentioned, pictures just cant do it justice. Originally I thought I would want a greater contrast, but I really like the carbon on black. Had I gone with a light colored car, I would for sure want a more contrasting blade. sparkhill 03-08-2008, 10:10 AM I understand the argument for the blade. It has grown on my a bit. But this photo makes me think about what the car have been had the blade been eliminated. Now, this half painted blade just looks OK as it does not really fit with the lines of the car. But if the lines were integrated... WOW! Axxlrod 03-08-2008, 10:52 AM SMA8L 03-08-2008, 02:53 PM and I am really intrigued by your driveway surface. Can you tell me what it is? Thanks in advance. SMA8L PhoenixGTS 03-08-2008, 08:39 PM I'm sorry I'm poor. PhoenixGTS 03-08-2008, 08:41 PM makes the distance from the back of the door to the front of the rear wheel look oddly long. Still a great looking car. PeterH 03-09-2008, 09:19 AM Audis or VWs 4Life 03-10-2008, 03:32 PM |
