As most of us all ready know, Dealers will be getting;

No Carbon Interior & No Carbon Engine Trim.

No deviating stitching offered, only the Extended Leather Package. No Exclusive options on the first 200 unit allocation.

Almost everything else is either standard equipment (including the Magnetic Ride and 19" 5 arm split spoke wheel) or in the REQUIRED Convenience and Nav packages.

In fact, there are only six options to be considered on an R8 order;
1. Leather Package
2. Enhanced Leather Package
3. Carbon Sigma Side Blades (Limited Availability) You may order it and not get it, not guaranteed.
4. Bang & Olufsen Sound System
5. Metallic & Pearl Effects Paint
6. R-Tronic Transmission

My dealer will be getting three of these cars and will sell them to whom ever wants them. I'll have to wait till I get what I want(possibly late '07}.
I will be getting my build(order guide) sometime in May if not late April. That official guide will offer every option (carbon interior and engine bay, etc, etc) and also "Exclusive" options. Base price then, will still be $109K for the manual.

Sometime in June, there will be a ride and drive for us "VIP's" hosted by Audi. I will be getting more info on that this week from my salesman.

the cars that we order will arrive a couple of months later. audi is overestimating in case of delays and to come out looking good. that's what my little bird told me.

I have been telling my Dealer I want to order one for months. They only got the US order form last week and I ordered it. I will be very disappointed if I do not get the Carbon Fiber interior and engine. I was told delivery is Oct.
