well, my favorite Audi exec just shot down my idea that Audi will build an R8 for every one who can afford one (i.e., to meet demand). He pointed out that even if they can ramp up production, the current Euro/Dollar situation is such that Audi can get alot more profit per car for R8's in markets outside the U.S.

Sounds like those in the U.S. who actually are fortunate enough to get one will really have a very exclusive car.
