Here is some bad news,courtesty of Audi, direct quote

"The new Audi R8 sports car is a mid-mounted 420 hp V8 FSI engine, quattro permanent all-wheel drive and Audi Space Frame aluminum body form the basis for truly outstanding driving dynamics. The R8 will have its American auto show debut at the Los Angles Auto Show in November and will be available in the United States in the summer of 2008."

I sure hope that's a mistake as Audi would really miss the mark with that. Lots of other competition will be out by that time. The Audi usa website lists it as a 2008 model, same thing with the new TT.<ul><li><a href="http://media.audiusa.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=9790">Link to Official Press Release</a></li></ul>

But I sure as hell hope 'summer 2008' is a typo. They must have meant summer 2007. And I sure hope they meant EARLY summer at that. Sheesh.

official press release from audi says fall 08 and you say otherwise. uhm, why should we take your word?

its nothing personal its just that you have been going out on a limb a lot without a hint of modesty in your predictions.

I'd love for you to right but if your going to contradict an official press release at least give some indication as to why, like the above poster has done by citing a conversation with someone at the ny event.

It says: Introducing the 2008 Audi R8.
You open the page and it says: Coming Fall 2007.

I thought that it was a mistake, and it is, but Audi better fix it (in the press release)

I have nothing against him. You can't blame anyone from being skeptical of these types of posts and when people contradict press releases without even a hint of reasoning, well please don't wine when someone questions it.

Like I said, I'm HAPPY to be wrong about this :)
