its true the gallardo doors open conventionally as mentioned below by '86 Coupe GT' ... (whos the tool now!) lol... jk.

anyhow... as audi displayed the RSQ concept with those butterfly doors, (which might be too much in current times) therefore as a substitute the lambo doors on the R8 could have been a posibility... but then again the press would make too many similarities between audi and the lambo.
