In the October print edition of Car and Driver (North America) Magazine (pg. 50) there is a new picture of an R8 in a beautiful metallic green color that looks very much like the production version pictures that have been making the rounds on the internet and this site. The C&D web site does not have this picture posted yet its only in the magazine. Question: Has anyone else whose seen this photo know if it's the production version? It has the aluminum/ss band behind the door, projector headlights and turn signals integrated into the front headlight pods....

esp. if it is C and D. no way they would beat this forum of the elite at getting a real pic of the production version.

i wonder what 2953 thinks of the convertible. he must have seen it a few hours ago by my calculations.

and it is really sad that C&amp;D uses renderings from places like rs6.com for their stuff. it is so obvious....

This looks more like a production car should look (door handles, spoiler at speed, projector headlights, audi corp. eggcrate grill) and closer perhaps than the photos that have been posted on the internet showing the car hot testing in the US. Ding...Ding...Ding...I think we may have a winner! Isn't the car set to debut in Paris very shortly?

though not a final prod type, b/c it is still basically the polka dotted car sans polka dots, it is the closest to prod "look" b/c the moulding tape matches the paint....
