2953, how did you like the gearbox in the AU714 prototype that you drove? Also, how important is the DSG transmission to you- will you wait for it?

Thanks for the great info! I am surprised that the R8 would be speed limted. I believe that Porsche, Lambo and Ferarri are all free of electronic speed restriction and this vehicle is in the same general category. I realize that it is somewhat academic, since most people might only experience top speed once or twice on a deserted highway (and maybe not even), unless you live near to the autobahn. More bragging rights... ;-)
DSG would be fun to have on the track where you can pay more attention to smooth braking inputs if you are not heel/toe downshifting. Gotta love those perfect throttle blips...
