View Full Version : who here is willing to wait one more year for the V10? hiro? RXBG 07-10-2006, 08:11 AM i plan on getting the V8. planning on spending about 110K. enough for me. 0-60 in 4.2 seconds is plenty fast for me. 2953 07-10-2006, 08:19 AM RXBG 07-10-2006, 11:42 AM i just don't know how you could do it. if this car is as amazing in beauty as it seems how could you not buy the V8 when it comes out and upgrade it later (unless it is a money issue)? if i had enough money to do both i would. or maybe get an RS4 now and get the V10 later. but that won't do because i'd crave the R8 the minute it came out. only way i'd wait for the V10 is if it was hot on the heels of the V8. and something tells me it will be at least 12 months away from the V8 debut. at least. since i am sure it will be the same engine as the one in the upcoming RS6. B.S.Rick 07-10-2006, 03:24 PM with DSG! :P (not that 0-60 is all that important) RB RS4JAG 07-10-2006, 05:51 PM 2953 07-10-2006, 06:56 PM ... No S-Tronic in the AU714 at launch. It was ridiculously beautiful. We want something, and why don't we buy it? My neighbers have cars including Mercedes S, but none of us have cars with initial "F" "P" or "L." I must remain within a flock of sheep. I hope to own those cars, but I do not want to be a wolf. I believe that Audi looks within the fense, and that I can go with Audi R8. DamienR8 07-16-2006, 09:21 PM If I had the money , I would grab the RS4 as a "daily driver" (lol) but then I would seriously consider the R8 V10. On the other hand If I didnt had the RS4 and was saving for the R8 V10, I can imagine myslelf buying the R8 V8 as soon as it came out instead of waiting for the V10 version. Patience is a virtue but this car (in both V8 and V10 forms) is SEX. 2953 07-19-2006, 07:37 AM ... for pretty much anything about which I'm even remotely serious, I don't buy "off the rack." Not shirts, not suits, not shoes and especially not cars. Since I purchased my first new car, I have ordered every vehicle I have ever owned/leased. I want what I want, and, like my suits and shirts and shoes and ties, I only buy from people or companies that can meet my requirements. Because I want a rather specific color and trim combo on my R8, I'll have to wait until all I want is in the Q-GmbH special order system. For North American cars, that puts the possible build into the time frame of the V10 AU714 (if such a car were to exist). I'm not in a rush since there is another car I'd like to get in the interim for a year or two. Secondly, I do not believe in compromise when it comes to food, entertainment, travel or automobiles. My life, your life, everyone's life, is filled with the need to compromise on almost a minute-to-minute basis. If there is a part of my life, no matter how small, where I can excise this, I will make every reasonable effort to make it so. Unlike a lot of folks, I'm less into immediate gratification and more into getting exactly what I want without the spectre of compromise ever raising its ugly head. So for those reasons I'm more than willing to wait a while for the mid-engined Audi I want. |
