Just got mine (in leather, not alcantara) new in the box, and for some reason thought I had seen it advertized with white stitching, mine is all black.

Or am I getting confused because the US steering wheels have white (I think)?

The ones with white or red etc. are from Audi Exclusive packages.

The A4 S-Line also has colored stitching.
