airflow within the manifold. This valve changes the direction of airflow to increase or decrease its path before entering the engine. Could this be the same valve that some of you are talking about pulling the bumper to remove? This then changes the performance of the engine based on the demand for low end torque or high end torque. Can you tell yet that I don't know WTF they are talking about and I sure as hell don't know WTF I am talking about? Well anyway the sensor that tells the ECU what position the valve is in can't seem to figure out where it is. It's sad but the poor thing appears to be lost. So I will have to bring it back so they can save the code and send it to Germany so I can then wait some more and wait and wait and wait for the Mother land to respond :-(

To top it off the car has been pulling to the right for quite some time. Even after two alignments it is more than 3 degrees off. So they now think that something somewhere might be BENT. Since there is no good way to determine what, they will start swapping parts until we hit the Lottery. GREAT!

The intake runner valve in the intake manifold, which controls the intake ram is not actuating correctly. It is vacuum actuated and there is a TSB on this. There is a vacuum hose under the intake manifold that sometimes leaks on early models.

Technical Background
Possible cause is a vacuum leak at the vacuum supply hose fitting for the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve N316. The vacuum supply hose fitting is located underneath the center of the intake manifold.
