View Full Version : People with the silver leather (white) seats: what is your cleaning regimen...? El Thump 08-08-2007, 05:29 PM For regular maintenance, and for deeper cleaning, like during a detail? TIA. Der Kimbo 08-08-2007, 05:36 PM Massage in and wipe off. ELEVENS 08-08-2007, 06:48 PM I think I also used Zaino "Leather in a Bottle" conditioner at one point. The Silver Leather is really really nice in the hot weather - thank God I don't have black. HIS4 08-09-2007, 01:14 AM Regular maintenance (once a month): Wet cloth with dove body wash. Rinse with another wet cloth. Follow up with Lexol Leather Conditioner. Heavy stains: Mr. Clean Mgic Eraser lubed with Lexol Leather Cleaner. Follow up with Lexol Leather Conditioner. I've found that the dove body wash works much better than the Lexol Leather Cleaner and it has it's own moisturizers so it won't dry out your leather. Audis or VWs 4Life 08-09-2007, 04:29 AM Use leather cleaner. Then use buffer pad with conditioner and have at it. The towel turns black so you know its cleaning all the dirt out. I use Zymol leather cleaner and conditioner. Evil Buddha 08-09-2007, 06:15 AM thank God I don't have black." 2nd that!!! I have been using the Porsche cleaner with a fresh micro fiber towel for each seat. I then go back with the conditioner on a wet sponge. About once every four months and the seats look brand new. The Porsche product is available from the Audi dealer; it's not cheap but goes along way if you cut the cleaner with a little rubbing alcohol and water. It takes out the light grime that comes with use and conditions the leather. No ill effects on it after 2 applications and I've used it for the past 4 years on my TT's baseball optic amber leather seats and they still look like new despite all the sun and exposure they've gotten. Silver Fun 08-09-2007, 08:43 PM Reggie 08-09-2007, 08:50 PM Why I prefer tan interiors - not hot and don't show dirt as much. trying to decide if I want a black interior or the silver I've not had black for decades - not sure I have the energy to keep it clean at my advanced age anymore :) PetrolDave 08-10-2007, 05:14 AM NewImage 08-11-2007, 07:37 AM |
