the actuator is welded to a small bracket that is welded onto the inboard half of the exhaust tip on each side, just behind the mufflers. looking at the OEM system sitting in my garage, it doesn't look like the mechanism could be easily removed and/or reinstalled (without cutting and welding). unfortunately, I think you'd have to get the entire exhaust, which is one huge piece aft of the downpipes.

I have one in my garage...needs to go.

However I have been trying to get them too and have had no luck at all. If you happen to find a way to purchase them please let me know.
