Are these trims supposed to replace the carbon fiber?

Aluminum can be ordered in place of carbon fiber. Piano black only comes with the Titanium or Audi Exclusive packages.
Carbon Fiber is standard.

If you want Piano black without the packages you need to special order.

If you want Aluminum or Carbon with the packages you need to special order.

For Mugello/Silver with no extra cosmetic packages I say Carbon.

Aluminum Beltline is a no-cost option to replace the RS4-specific Carbon Fiber

I believe Piano Black beltline trim is only available through Audi Exclusive or with the special "Black Optik" or "Titanium" package which includes glossy black grille and window surround moldings.

Aluminum & Black interior looks good; Aluminum & Silver interior is too light - I'd go with the Carbon Fiber & Silver.
