Phantom, black interior, prem pack. Adding clearbra, and K40 radar detector.
Test drove it on Saturday and it exceeded my expectations (which were high). Way too easy to drive this car fast, and it feels lighter than the S4 even though it's not. The exhaust sound is intoxicating.
Overall look and feel of the car can't be beat IMO.
I am going to be like a pig in you know what all week...

At least according to the manual (w/o it in front of me, mind you). I think how aggressive you are within those guidelines is a topic of small controversy here. But getting the factory fill oil out soon after the break-in is definitely recommended.

First, do not deviate from Audi's guidelines - there is a computer in the car that records max RPM's and your warranty may be voided if you do not follow Audi's recommendations.
Audi Guidelines:
0-600 mi: no full throttle, 6000 RPM max
600-1200 mi: no full throttle, 7000 RPM
1200-1500 mi: slowly and briefly increase to 8250 RPM.
Many of us have been aggressive within the guidelines with good results. This means accelerating to the max allowable RPM's in a gear, then engine braking. Repeat the same in the next gear. Always allow adequate time for warm-ups and cool downs.
Watch your oil level as this engine tends to burn a quart or two early on. Change you oil somewhere along the way earlier than Audi suggests - many have changed after break-in is complete/

"less than 7K", but has never said "less than 6K", even when under 600 miles. Anyone else notice that?-

Audi is going to have a hard time giving people grief for going over 6K in the first 600mi when the display itself is saying 7K.

This car is biblically good. (Jeremy Clarkson.)
First, the looks. Comparing it against my S4 (which I traded in), I could not believe how much better the RS4 looks from every angle. And I love the look of the S4, but the RS4 is just that much better.
Second, the sound. I forget who originally said this, but as I was driving it out of the dealership with the windows open and the radio off (S button engaged), I caught myself turning up the volume on the steering wheel so I could get even more of that incredible exhaust. The sound is just intoxicating. I've already decided there is no reason to ever turn off the S button. Even on the highway at 80 mph and all the windows closed, and A/C on, you can hear that exhaust and it is wonderful.
Third, the handling. Getting off the highway, I should have been doing 35 mph on the exit off ramp. Of course, I was going much faster than that, but as the car seems so sure footed even at high speeds, I had no idea. No problem, the car just would not let go of the road.
Fourth, the transmission. I had a little trouble with first gear, because it is so different from the S4. As soon as you put it in gear, it's ready to go even with little or no revs. The car just wants to launch, and it takes some getting used to to deal with all that power. But after about 150 miles, I think I've got the hang of it. Staying under 6000 rpm was no problem -- even just going up to 5000, there is more than enough power (of course I can't wait to push it to 8250). And, I was surprised that 6th gear in the RS4 is much more of an "overdrive" than 6th gear on the S4. But there is still plenty of power.
Fifth, highway cruising. I knew I was going to love the street performance, but I was surprised at what a great highway cruiser this car is. It feels even more solid than the S4 at high speeds, and you find yourself doing 100 mph with no effort.
Last, the torque. I can't get over how there is so much torque at every speed and in every gear. You are never at a loss with this car.
I cannot say enough good things about this car.
Oh, I highly recommend the K40. From what I could tell, no false alarms in highway mode. Went off 3 times, and each time there was a cop. (I live in MA.)
Also, I had the clearbra installed, and while there is definitely a line, it doesn't bother me and in fact it makes me feel better knowing it's there.
Pics to follow after this weekend.
Thanks to everyone for their posts.

All you see is a tiny blue light on the dash, on the ledge in front of the plexiglass behind which sits the speedo, tach etc.
