Having finally put my summer wheels & tires on the car I thought I would weigh one of the wheels as smeone had asked me ages ago what the titanium finish wheels weigh. Well, according to my bathroom scale (it's digital, but I do not know how accurate it is) the wheel + tpms + Dunlop Wintersport M3 was 51.2 lbs. I weighed the tire on it's own and also with me holding it and the weight came out the same. I should have weighed the OEM wheels (for comparison) before I put them on the car, but I forgot - sorry.

I believe that the OEM wheel + tire was about 54 lbs, so either my scale is off by 3 lbs or the wheel is lighter, probably the former. (Better not tell the wife that the scale is probably off!!)

By the way, this is the first time I have seen my car with the OEM finish wheels and WOW, it looks good! I took delivery of my car about 5 months ago with the titanium finish wheels already installed, so now I get to enjoy a "new" look for a while.

I haven't decided if I will have the summer tires re-mounted on the titanium wheels or not. What do you think ? Titanium for winter, or for summer ?

there's no reason why the finish should make a difference in the weight....it's just a different color paint.

I always assumed, and still do, that there is no difference in the weight of the two wheels themselves. It's likely that it's a combination of the tires & the scales.

Either way, someone had asked, so I weighed it.
