the cheap interior of the RS4 is ridiculous. I don't remember ever hearing people say crap about Audi interiors being bad.

Audi is renowned for having the finest interiors in the industry. If anything, I've heard the interior of BMW isn't quite up to snuff. As far as interior layout, I find the BMW 5 series to seem a little poorly thoughout in terms of how everything flows.

The horsepower of M5 is no match against RS4... it's a big gap.. Why not compare M5 and Lamborghini Gallardo then? Both have 10 cylinders and more or less same power...

No offense to nissan owners, M5 only cost a little bit more then your average nissan!

Although I agree they are really not in the same class, either size, power or pricewise. Car &amp; Driver's test of the S6, M5, and E63 was a better comparison of cars in the same overall category.

I shopped both cars - RS4 and M5 and chose the RS4. To me, there was no real comparison. The Bangle exterior just sucked, and the interior fit, finish and feel weren't even close. I'm sure that the extra 80 HP will give the M5 the edge in the redlight drag category, but the superior handling dynamics of the RS make track and street twisties very comparable.

Having said all that, the two cars are not apples to apples. The M is a (much) larger sedan. Sure, it is a great vehicle, but just not my style, just as the RS is not likely to be an M owner's style. To each his own.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new m 3'er. THAT will be fun...

To me it just sounds like another lame attempt to justify his decision to buy the M5. In any case, he sounds like one of those "BMW is the best" idiot.

thats pissed me off on both s4's i have had, and im only 5'9".

and about 1/2 of SD deaths get autopsied. So there is a 33% chance that he is indeed high on something.
