Well, I finally got to drive the RS4 at the Philly SOT event. I cannot divulge my connections, but I was cleared to take the Mugello blue with black leather (same config. that I am getting!) around the test track twice. Immediate impressions were... OH MY F...ING GOD, this car is fast!!!! It handled like a go cart around the corners, and it was very hard to unsettle. Extremely impressed!! Next, I got to ride shot-gun with this pro driver from Germany named Ewe. He really showed me the limits of the car, and made me feel like was just going 10mph! Overall, the event was top notch. Great food, drinks and cars!! Would highly recommend anyone going, even if you just do the RS4 ride-along. I CANNOT WAIT FOR MY RS4!!

and turn it into a full power-on tail wagging out power slide from hell. There was little to no one there from 9am forward on Sunday so we got to know each other quite well.

marketing group. During my 1st ride in the RS4 I encouraged the driver to push it, as I'm an avid autocrosser myself. On my 4th ride (!) one of the marketing guys came over and told Ewe to "turn down the wick a couple notches". Ewe simply told the guy that he was a professional driver sent by Audi to show the car's capabilities. And, that is what "he" was going to do. There was some slight bickering back and forth, and ultimately when the marketing guy was told that he did not work for Audi and the driver did, he walked away.

Audi is doing the right thing by letting their pro-drivers do their thing. They go through a set of tires every 2 cities (or every 4 days) with the same cars.

And, I can tell you hands down that the RS4 stock suspension is leaps and bounds way above anything the B5 chassis had underneath it from the factory. (with a big smile on my face).

What a thrill it was to talk to Ewe and experience maximum g's.

Yes, that's what I heard in Atlanta.
