and yes, the lighter and faster non-US model was tested in this comparo =P

<i>"but this new-wave Audi feels so solid, so polished and deploys its beefy performance with such conviction that you suspect the West Circuit is too small for it -- it feels built for the rigours of the Nurburgring."</i>

IMO, the RS4 does pretty well in a field of some serious sports cars. Discuss.

It's a little too boy racer though.

4.4 time to 100 kmh for the RS4 is pretty impressive. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with their launch technique -- so I won't be seeing those times (ever). I'm interested in seeing what the US magazines get for the 0-60. I think mid-4's are possible.

Also be interesting seeing lap comparisons on a bigger track.

is the fact that the cars are compared for top speed when we know the Audi and BMW are speed limited. The fact that they accounted 1/3 of the overal rating to that statistic makes this article useless for the end result. I see the M6 and RS4 moving up a couple spots by removing the speed limiter. The other problem is obvious looking at the 0-100-0 times and reaction time. The fastest cars out there are impared by this method of testing since they are rocketing past 100 so much faster than the slower cars which they pointed out one car was already going 110 by the time they hit the brakes. Also 2 cars hit 100 at the 3-4 shift. If you remove the reaction times in the test again the order is very different. Good article for individual numbers, but a weak effort in really comparing them apples to apples.

I didn't know that until someone recently told me.
