Hi, I wanted to get some feedback on what you guys are doing regarding deposits. My dealer is requesting a non-refundable 10% deposit to place the order for the RS4. Is this in line with what you all are doing? thanks.

P.S. 10% is alot, either tell them to do 500-1000 or find another dealer.

It's an Audi not a Ferrari. My dealer took $1k fully refundable deposits for RS4's and if you were a previous customer, they just take your word and no deposit required.

I am going to buy www.audidealers.com and start a database. Rate your dealers on it. I know the guy who runs rateyourdealer.com, but this will be only for audi dealers.

I thought that was just a bit insane, but wanted to get everyone's opinion on here. The dealership it Audi of Alexandria, VA. It's too bad, because this will be my 3rd Audi, and the dealership has always been great. Oh well, that's why there's competition.

I'm in VA, so I have two more dealerships to choose from; Rockville, MD and Tysons Corner HBL.

i'm #1 on the list at my dealer and no deposit was required.

even if you have to pay for a one-way ticket to somewhere nearby and drive it home, good way to break it in on the drive home :-D

I have heard some things about HBL that would keep me away.
