Because if it was part of the next batch why would it be in production already?

Mine is listed as in transit and its VIN indicates it was the 210th car made of that build (e.g. US spec) at that plant. If there are supposed to be 250 US launch cars and if you consider they made some before that (like the ones being driven at the Streets of Tomorrow events), then they probably have already made all the US launch cars.

Dunno, I'm just guessing here...
