Since you guys are bored and said it's quiet in here today...

I traded in my 2005 Imola S4 for a 2008 TT 2.0 w/Premium Package, Ipod interface, Bluetooth, Bose....

The S4 was a total gas guzzler and I absolutely loved it but it was costing me 3 tanks a week (600 a month) on gas alone so I decided to get a TT. (Lower payment, Lower Gas, Lower insurance) I was soooo thinking it would be disappointing going from a V8 manual to a 2.0 with S-Tronic but surprisingly, it's not disappointing at all! The TT is actually really fast! I thought I would miss the quattro too and while I haven't had it long enough I have to say it corners like crazy. I can't imagine what it's gonna be like after Revo... that car is just so light....

Well that's my pep talk for any of you who are getting a 2.0....

Too bad you gave up the fastest color in Audi's portfolio though ;)

Which doesn't necessarily equal better, just more aggressive. APR is usually smoother and trouble-free.

and give the DPE's back. Now that the DPE's are back I just have to make sure the spacer fits and put coilovers on. I'm debating on leaving them powder coated flat black or not... kinda want contrast.

I've dealt with APR for the better part of 7 years now, and have run their software on every turbo car I've owned. I've never worked with a better company when it comes to everything from product development to post-purchase support. Everyone there is simply fantastic, which makes my decision that much easier.

On top of that, the technology they have developed is unlike anything else on the market. Yeah yeah, I know Revo has the SPS stuff, but I shouldn't have to carry a box around with me everytime I want to change my programming. With APR, switching programs is a matter of holding a couple of buttons on the cruise stalk.

Worried about nosy dealers? Lock out the program switching capability and no one will know the wiser. I'm not encouraging anyone to commit fraud with their dealer, but it is annoying to get the third degree when you go in for something as simple as an oil change.

Lastly, I *HAVE* tested programming from other companies and no other programs come close to the OEM feel and drivability as APR's programming does. It is butter smooth to drive, and the power curves prove this. I was the first private sector car to have APR 2.0T software on it (My A4), and in 2.5 years I've NEVER ONCE had a single CEL or issues with the car. This can be echoed as far back as my 2 1.8T GTIs and my 2.7T S4.

That said, I really hope APR starts tuning 3.2s... for you guys who have 2.0Ts though, APR is the way to go. I wouldn't even consider another tuning company for 2.0T software. </personal opinion>

Although one additional factor might be which tuning company (if any) has a local distributor. Since I live near Achtuning, getting APR stuff is really easy.

Also used by a lot of the third-party tuners, and they will even custom design software for you based on your mods.

Their "Flash Loader" hand-held is also better than Revo's SPS. You plug the flash loaded into the OBD-II port, click the "read" button to see what programs you have, then press the button that matches what you want i.e. stock, pump, race, etc.

They've also got a "privacy firewall" feature which pin-codes your loader and car, and prevents, say your dealer, from using their (hand-held or software) to see if you have the software installed.
