it is wedged in by a rubbermaid storage bin so it doesn't slide around.

Take out trunk floor cover and look way in the back on the right. That's where it should be. IF there is just an empty rectangular hole, then you must have RUN FLAT tires. Check the sidewall of your tires and see if they say RFT. Also check your window sticker and see if it says RUN FLAT tires.
