The Gen II is a 3 Mode (switchable on the fly) controller which allows more torque to be sent to the rear wheels (increasing oversteer). On the Gen I, you had to buy either a blue (sport) or orange (race) controller, but the Gen II combines them and adds an 'OEM' mode. I'm working on finding just the right spot for the switch. The race (orange) mode allows power transmission to the rear wheels to continue under braking - quite handy for autocross and dry track events. HPA offered a group buy on these recently and NA Motorsports currently has them on sale at the same price ($975 + free shipping). HPA is also offering a freer-breathing intake manifold for the 3.2 as the starting point for a forced induction setup (either supercharging or turbocharging). HPA should have a full turbo kit for the 3.2 TT soon and VF Engineering's supercharger kit for the 3.2 shouldn't be too far away either, though they'll be waiting on GIAC to make them a GenII TT chip. Both of these options put power levels into the 300's, with more expensive options into the 400's. And that's about all I know about mods for the 3.2

I have the 2.0T and will be getting the chip soon but dont know if there are any DP's or diverters out there for the car.
