The gist of many of the TT reviews is that there is the quintessential MK2 somewhere between the 2.0T FWD and the 3.2Q. And that would be the 2.0TQ.

Plenty of options available on the 2.0T with the Premium package. Actually all of the options are available on the 2.0T with the Premium package.

I would get a six speed in the base model, but the larger engined model is getting to expensive for me. I hope audi brings out a six speed for the base model...it would increase sales for sure. I may have to look elsewhere at 46000 .

So basically the 2.0T is worse than an A3. Cuz I can't even add adaptive bi-xenon nor AMR to the barebone TT. On the A3 I can add bi-Xenon or AMR without getting premium.... So basically to add the BiXenon and AMR i have to pay double the value of these things individually. Can anyone tell me what does the Bi-Xenon &amp; AMR need from the premium to function?

US spec TT is plain disappointing. 6 colors only, no 10 spoke wheel for the 2.0T, must have premium package to get multi-function steering wheel, bi-xenon and adaptive magnetic ride. There's no heart at all on the TT offering for North America. Disappointing.

I have never been able to get real excited about the new mk2 anyway, but the coin required is getting into territory where better choices abound.

I guess I just wasn't paying attention to the potential sticker price, but holy cow! I only got the 180 coupe in 02, but its quattro and a stick, with the premium package and audio package, which had xenons, heated seats, homelink etc - whole thing out the door was 34k.

You can't even get a stick or quattro without going 3.2, and at a comparable level of equipment, I'd be looking at over 45k at a minimum.

While the TT is the cutiest thang I done seen, I think I'd rather be in an ugly, ass-kickin' 335i.

someone who wants a TT most likely wouldn't cross-shop a Japanese 4-door sedan. that's all i'm saying. maybe the G35 coupe though.
