So I will have to wait a few years before I own one of my own : ) However, this gti... hmmm, it has me thinking for 1/2 the price. Jim, I've never really doubted the new TT. I'm reserving my opinion until I can actually see one and get behind the seat of one. VAG has some great products coming out of the pipeline. Here's a GTI with DSG, 18-in wheels and leather... <img src="http://www.shareyourpix.com/inc/i_importimage.aspx?u=356&a=580&i=9031&w=768&h=685"> With VW's wonderfully arcane option packaging, the only way to get leather (which will be standard on a TT) is to order option poackage #2 which also includes XM or Sirius satellite radio, power tilt & slide glass sunroof, dual-zone climate control A/C (standard on the TT), heated front seats and windshield washers. So if this GTI is a half-price TT, you're talking about a TT for $55 large. I only know of one TT that left the factory for that kinda money. Or meebe several grand more. Trying to see if I can get the next one to top sixty-five.
